Each year The Lyman Foundation hosts two major fundraising events and several family events.
The Lyman Golf Outing is our largest fundraiser and we also hold another fundraising event such as: bowling, comedy night, etc.
The Family events include: Movie Night; Family Swim; Family Bowling; Tiger Baseball Night and USA Hockey Family Night to name a few! The Lyman Foundation also sponsors summer camps for our students.
The Lyman Foundation Spends a Day at Comerica Park
Students from Burger School were invited by the Detroit Tigers and Jack’s Place for Autism to participate in Autism Awareness Day at Comerica Park.
Twenty-five students and their parents were given tickets to the game and four students were selected to join Lyman President, Melanie Burkett, on the field as they announced Burger School and the Lyman Foundation. Aaron Peters, Drake Willis, Valentino Rodriguez and Jonathan Walker had their names announced and their pictures shown on the Jumbotron!
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students and families!
